gay messiah

i think it has been at least a week since i mentioned rw (don't even dare type his name in case you all throw rotten tomatoes at the screen - nor do i want to put anyone off him by talking about him too much...). tonight i had another night in with rufus watching the documentary "all i want". found out some interesting things - particularly about the inspiration for some of his songs. i like the song "gay messiah" - for it's naughtiness, and also because it is purposefully provocative. he is partly praying for someone to save america from the shockingly self-righteous conservative religiousity - amen to that. the dvd had some great interviews (particularly interesting to hear from his mum, martha and his friends - less interesting to hear from self-promoting and far less talented musicians such as elton john, sting and keane - oh, well alright then, sting is vaguely talented).
