i love pgl

despite the fact that this year's trip was marred by some very annoying boys - i still think it is a fabulous trip. almost every person i have met working at pgl has been fantastic - enthusiastic, hard working, responsible. one of the things i think is so excellent about a trip like this one is that it allows the boys to meet non-academic adults and to learn to listen to and respect them. most of the staff at pgl disliked academic work (they generally excel at sports) - and yet they are mature and authoritative. it is great for teenagers who are used to highly qualified bods (like me i suppose) telling them what to do - to have the opportunity to see other (very different, but equally worthy) role models.
